Here’s a brief update of our programme until the end of the 2011 season. There are still loads of things to discover!

On this year’s programme

Reminder: In order to ensure a good atmosphere and to be able to discover and talk about the landscapes that we’ll be riding through, our tours have a limited number of vacancies. Therefore remember to book as early as possible! Our tours are open to all kinds of bikes, whatever their capacity.

In April: “Corsica and Sardinia in the Spring?, from 18th to 25th April

A tour of Corsica & Sardinia in the spring (Easter holidays), sailing from Marseille to Porto Torres (Sardinia), three days in the island (in a resort hotel in the Arbatax area) sailing from either Santa Teresa or Porto Torres to Corsica, for two days on the island (based at the Hotel Belvédère in Coti Chiavari), with the return sailing to Marseille from Bastia. A weeklong tour to discover the two most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean.

May 1st bank holiday weekend: “La Cévenole?

As ever, we will be holding the traditional “Cévenole? mini meet-up and ride, with the village fête on the Saturday night.

In June: the “Raid Champagne-Ardennes (2nd to 5th June)

Taking a trip down memory lane: we are once again organising this tour, which was popular back in the days of the RAT. Each year it would attract foreign members who not only wanted to discover the region but also wanted to taste our fantastic Champagne wine. Don’t worry; we won’t be changing a thing! Participants will be visiting wineries, enjoying typical cuisine, prestigious chateaux… oh and riding bikes as well. This tour is organised in conjunction with our friends from “La Soupape Barsequanaise?.

In July: the “Raid des Cévennes? from 13th to 17th July

In 2007 we will be departing from our usual habits and proposing a big tour of the Cévennes during the summer holidays. This means that we’ll be riding on roads that the tourists don’t even know exist! The tour will be based in a single hotel, and every day there will be a ride of some 200 km with at least one guided tour or one activity organised during the day (cave tours, canoeing, aerial adventure courses, etc.)

In October: “Spain & Portugal?, a tour in the Iberian Peninsula

This is a new destination for Motards en Balade, and we will be riding wonderful roads and staying in small hotels. A weeklong discovery of the Iberian Peninsula. Each stage will be between 200-250 km and the tour starts above Barcelona and ends near Valencia. FULY BOOKED

And to round off the 2011 season, a “Corsican Week? fro 24th to 31st October

As ever, we will be ending the season with the Corsica Tour, but this time spending a full week on the island, from 24th to 31st October, spending two days in the north (in a new hotel near Ile Rousse), allowing us to visit Cap Corse, the “Route de Artisans? and the Castaniccia; then three days in the South (accommodation at the Hotel Belvédère), with the well-known destinations: the Calanche di Piana, Bonifaccio and the Taravo). We will also be riding the special stages that the competitors of the Dark Dog Moto Tour de France will have ridden earlier in the month (although we will – one would expect – be going somewhat slower…). The tour includes the return sailing from Marseille in exterior double cabins with dinner.
Hotel accommodation will be half-board (drinks included).
